Stepping into Business is for you if you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with a business idea that creates positive impact, has strong ties to a remote community, and can attend in-person sessions.

What you will do

You will focus on what matters to you, with support to develop your business idea using practical tools to shape it, decide what to do next, and build confidence to share it with others.

Submitting an EOI does not lock you in. It simply helps us contact you to see if this program is the right fit for you.

Stepping into Business is co-delivered by Impact North and local coordinators, who provide cultural and linguistic support throughout the program.

The program has been delivered in Gapuwiyak, Galiwin'ku, and Gove Peninsula.

No. Stepping Into Business is free (no cost).

Is this an application?

No. This page is for Expressions of Interest. Submitting an EOI helps us understand interest and contact you with next steps. It does not lock you in.

Do I need to already have a registered business?

No. If you have an idea and want support to get started, you are welcome.

What if I am not confident with reading and writing?

That is okay. The program is designed to be culturally and linguistically accessible, with local coordinator support and translated materials.
